Africanews.it leaves Mambo for Wordpress. This is what will change.
As this is the meaning of this blog, I decided to share why africanews.it is about to swap from the CMS Mambo to Wordpress.
First, with Wordpress, all reporters will be able to publish live while they are on the streets, on train, flight, or almost wherever there is access to a mobile phone network with easy to install on nokia and blackberry plugins that are made for publishing on the go.
Second, there will be no need to access the administration page, but with ScribeFire on Firefox, reporters will be able to publish directly or submit news very easily and quickly.
Third, up until now with a basic, free Mambo template many specials pages, contents and more were almost invisible. Now with wordpress we are about to choose maximum exposure for all contents, whether it'll be video, photos or text.
All your comments, suggestions and constructive criticism is welcome as usual.

Africanews.it abbandona (un po' a malincuore) il cms Mambo per Wordpress: ecco cosa cambierà
Rientrando nella filosofia di questo blog (una porta sul retro, un occhio sui lavori di Africanews.it) scrivo qui una sintesi sui motivi che hanno portato ad abbandonare il CMS (content management system) Mambo per Wordpress.
Innanzitutto la considerazione che nel prossimo futuro wordpress si svilupperà più di Mambo.
Per il momento quest'ultima piattaforma permetterà ai redattori di africanews.it di pubblicare anche attraverso un cellulare e anche tramite 'scribefire' per Firefox cioè senza entrare nel pannello di amministrazione del sito come si era costretti a fare finora.
Si prevedono, inoltre, grosse novità sulla grafica forse più simile a un blog o a una webzine ma decisamente più performante rispetto a quella attuale in termini di visibilità dei contenuti.
Sarà migliorata inoltre la gestione dei contenuti e delle pubblicità.
Non so se ve ne siete mai accorti ma africanews.it ha dei banner in basso ad ogni pagina collegati a siti partner come per esempio Step1, AlJarida e ArtBaltica
